Del City, OK – “32 years of honoring our own.”
The City of Del City is a proud supporter of Veterans and the Armed Forces. In an endeavor to best support those who have sacrificed much for their country, Del City has developed an all-embracing history as an active sponsor exemplifying our compassion for Veterans.
On Saturday, May 13, 2017 will marked the 32nd Annual Armed Forced Day & Shriner’s Parade. The Del City Parade is one of the largest of its kind in Oklahoma, and some of the entries include: the Fort Sill’s Field Artillery Half Section (Horse Drawn),
Tinker Air Force Base Honor Guard, esteemed dignitaries, Shriner’s, marching bands, Several Veterans of Foreign Wars groups, military and police organizations and many other entries.
This year’s Grand Marshall is Col. David Gaedecke
Staging: will be north of I-40 and Sunnylane, along Tinker Diagonal starting at 8:00 a.m. The line-up begins at 9:00 a.m., with the step-off promptly at 10:00 a.m. The parade route proceeds south on Sunnylane Rd. to SE 29th Street, and east on SE 29th Street to Vickie Drive. (approximately two miles long.)
